NDIS Funding for Support Work

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) recognises the essential role that support work plays in an individual’s life. At Crossroads, our support services can be accessed through NDIS funding.

Recruitment Process

We maintain a rigorous recruitment process for our support workers, ensuring they are equipped to provide the highest level of care and support. Each prospective support worker must obtain an NDIS screencheck and a police check, signifying their competence in working with individuals with disabilities. Following this, we provide comprehensive training on disability awareness, effective communication, person-centred care and best practices in support work, to ensure they are well-versed in our values and processes.

Matching With a Support Worker

We understand that each individual is unique with their own set of needs, preferences and interests. Therefore, we prioritise creating the perfect match between our clients and support workers. Our approach goes beyond simply considering schedules and availability; we take into account the specific goals, aspirations and requirements of our clients and their families. This process begins with the completion of an online form outlining the client’s needs, availability and interests. Our team then reviews this information and matches the client with a support worker who aligns with these specifications. We strive to pair individuals with a support worker who not only possesses the necessary skills and experience but also shares common interests and values.

At Crossroads, respect, patience, and communication are at the heart of our approach. We understand that every individual we work with is unique and deserves to be treated with dignity, empathy, and understanding. We tailor each support plan to address the specific needs, preferences, and aspirations of our clients, ensuring they feel valued, supported, and empowered on their journey towards leading a fulfilling and autonomous life.
